TGF's SSC - Farewell

Hello there, friends!

I can't beleive the day has come for me to say farewell as a Showcase Farmer at The Greeting Farm. The last 6 months have gone by so quickly! Thank you to Marie, Jessica, my fellow Farmers AND all you TGF fans for a wonderful experience. As I've loved TGF from the beginning, it's not really a goodbye, but more of a farewell and see you soon! ;)

We're all playing along with the SSC and I chose to play with Princess Anya No. 4 as my last showcase card. I've nicknamed this particular lady, Cinderella, lol. As you may recall, I made a Snow White card a couple weeks back. Yes, I definitely have Disney on my mind and you'd think that I should make a vacation trip of it soon or something!

Please stop on over to the TGF Blog and see what the rest of the Showcase Farmers have created for you. I'm so excited for the annoucement of the new team and look forward to seeing all the new wonderful creations!

xoxo.

TGF's FFF Challenge - 4 Layers & Ribbons/Buttons

Hiya readers!

TGIF. It’s the Canada Day long weekend here and I am looking forward to having the extra day! No rest for the wicked though; I have a bachelorette party to attend and a few other things to do this weekend, lol.

This week’s Farm Fresh Friday challenge over on the TGF blog is hosted by Samantha and she challenged us to use at least 4 layers and ribbons/buttons. I made this card for the bride-to-be. We’ve been friends since middle school and I’ve watched her grow into a high school trades teacher. I know that she’ll enjoy this fun “sexy intellectual” card!

I've also played along with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch this week - I am loving this one:

I hope to see you playing along! Just hop on over to the TGF blog to find out further information :)

Have a great weekend and happy birthday to our country for all my Canadian friends!

TGF's Sketch - Riley

Hi there!

Oopsy... I did one of those accidental hiatuses AGAIN. After the crafty part of this post, I'll share what kept me busy this past weekend :)

I've been wanting to play along with my fellow TGF DT member, Samantha's sketch for awhile, but just found some time this evening. This is her original sketch here:

I had to add some twists for my own card because Riley just looked better vertical than horizontal, lol! All the basic elements of the sketch are there though:

This past Saturday and Sunday, I was lucky to get together with some of my local BC and Seattle area friends, Naomi, Peggy, Sparkle, Spike, and Suzanne. I think the term "shop til you drop" (for paper crafts) was definitely what happened! Lots of giggles were had over good food. Thank you, ladies, for a fabulous weekend. xo

Well that's it for now! I'll be back on Saturday with a farewell post as my term ends of being a Showcase Farmer with The Greeting Farm. *sniffles* Enjoy the rest of or your week! xo

RTB 108 - Summer Lovin`

Hey there!

Did you know that the current Raise the Bar Challenge is going strong all June? Yes, you have a whole month to play a long with the summer themed challenge! We're taking a break over the summer and will still have monthly challenges but we're cutting back from the weekly challenges.

The first thing I think about when my thoughts drift off to summer are the delicious fruits I get to enjoy to eat and the bright colours. I decided to keep things simple with this card and let the bright colours just stand out against the white:

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB107 for your keywords.

When You Wish Upon a Star - Appropriately Disney Inspired

Hey there, friends! Hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. Just poppin' in to say hello and to remember to wish upon a star! ;) You never know, your dream(s) may come true, lol.

Just thought I'd bring back some nostalgia of being a child with my Princess and Prince themed card.

I'm playing with Tracy's, my fellow TGF Design Team member, sketch:

This is Tracy's sketch that I followed below:

If you'd like to play along, head on over to the SCS forum to see Tracy's card and instructions.

Thanks for poppin' in to see me today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday Photo Inspiration

Happy Friday, friends!!! Yes, 3 exclamation points, lol. I hope that you've had a good week; mine has been a little crazy so I am happy that the weekend is here. It will be my last "free" weekend in awhile as I have weddings and other summer events to attend over the following weekends!

I'm hosting TGF's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge and it's all about the photo below. I fell in love with this baby girl's nursery and knew that it was perfect for this challenge! You should check out the other photos of the room, too, for the full design.

Photo Inspiration: Isabella's Room

I just adore the colours and patterns in this room; they are so fresh! This is my intepretation of the photo:

Ooh la la, it's Cheeky Geeky! LOL

I hope to see you playing along with me this week! For further details and fabulous examples from the other Farmers, head on over to the TGF Blog.

I hope that you enjoy your weekend! Take care!

TGF June Retro Fresh Challenge

Hiya friends and happy hump day!

Has summer hit yet in your area?! It sure hasn't in Metro Vancouver. It keeps raining and raining and it sure is making me appreciate the few hours that we do get of the sun!

The Greeting Farm is ready for summer, though! The June Retro Fresh Challenge is Sunshine and Summertime.

I had never used this little gem and I believe she is long ago retired, but her name is Sing from 2009. Definitely a retro image! lol

Who is going to get their Retro Fresh on?! LOL Just click on over to the TGF Blog and get the info there to play along.

The layout of my card was inspired by this month's SFYTT as seen below:

Thanks for stopping by! XO

TGF Riley Wants to Hang!

Helloooo there, friends!

I hope that you all had a great weekend. My knee is getting there! I have much more mobility than I did 2 weeks ago, but I still get that constant reminding ache that I have an injury. :S

My TGF Design Team mate, Veronica, was our host for this week`s Saturday Sketch Challenge over at SCS this week and I wanted to play along. I felt like I hadn`t had much play with Creeper Riley, so I wanted to pull her out for this card:

This is Veronica`s sketch:

Have a fantastic week!

TGF's FFF Challenge - Masculine

Happy, happy Friday, readers!

I hope that your week has been going well. I wish I could I say that I've been taking in the sun and sippin' on cold drinks, but our summer hasn't started yet here in Metro Vancouver. :S

This week's Farm Fresh Challenge over at the Greeting Farm Blog is all about the men in your lives; the little ones to the grown up ones!

I also doubled up challenges and used Naomi's last SSC sketch over on the TGF Splitcoast forum as seen here:

Hope to see you playing along with us! For more information and inspiration from the other DT members, check out the TGF Blog here.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Life: Sprained Knee Inury

Hi there, friends!

I know it's been over a week since I last posted and must apologize for that but I had a very reasonable excuse. I managed to sustain a sprain to my knee on May 28th. For all you kinesiology buffs, I have a partial tear to my MCL and that limited my mobility. I took a day off work, but because I work in the administration field, I decided to go to work the rest of the week. I am happy to report that I am still hobbling around but am on the mend!

Needless to say, my injury absolutely killed my mojo to sit down and make anything this past week, but I do have a sneak peek of some TGF images I managed to colour up this past weekend. :)

Before I sprained my knee, The Beau and took a day trip down south to our neighbouring city of Bellingham, Washington do so a little bit of shopping and explore the City. Last year, we discovered the Antique Mall and The Beau wanted to hit it up again this time around. Here are the highlights of the day:

First time here, stocked up on essentials (envelopes and adhesives lol)

Pit stop @ Farmer's Market. Cheese stick and lemonade snack

Top: Market Building Bottom: Bellingham Newspaper Building

 Lunch @ Fiammi Burger

My favourite item I saw at the Vintage Mall!

Indeed! A whole wall of doilies.

Thanks for checking in with me today! I promise I will have more crafty stuff later this week. ;)
