TGF's FFF Challenge - Larisa's Sketch

Hello and TGIF!!!

It's been a loooong week and I am so glad to have the weekend here.

It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at the The Greeting Farm blog. This week, Larisa, is our host and she's come up with a pretty little sketch for our challenge:

I had two of these pretty Sitting Lovely's all coloured up waiting for me to use on a card!

I rotated the sketch for the first card.

I love how the second card is a contrast to the first. Both are very much spring like colours though. Maybe this is me subconsciously hoping that spring will come soon! We've had days of hard rain again here in Vancouver.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend! For all your local Vancouverites, come find me at the Vancouver Japanese Language School Spring Fair :)

Booth @ VJLS Spring Fair

Hello! I just wanted to pop in to let you know that I've been a busy bee.

I'm preparing for my first ever craft table at the Vancouver Japanese Language School and I would love to see all my local Vancouverites come out if you get the chance!

I'm going to be selling my handmade cards as well as some new altered things items. I can't wait to show you photos, but here's the poster for the Fair and I hope to see you locals there. :)

TGFSC12 - Sketch by Veronica

Hi there, readers!

I just wanted to send an extra shout out to those who have recently started following me! *waving* To all my new friends and long time followers, you're the reason why I continuously post so thank you for making this fun for me.

This past Saturday, my Showcase Teammate, Veronica, was the host of the The Greeting Farm's Saturday Sketch on Splitcoast Stampers as seen below:

I had some time to play along and this is what I came up with:

I inked up dear little Shimmer Bean and added in a horizontal layer going across the card. I felt I needed something to ground the image and without it, it felt  "too naked." LOL

To see all the rules of how to play along, you can go to the forum here.

I'll be back later this week with some more inspiration for you. I hope that you have a great rest of your  week!

Supplies:
Stamps: Shimmer Bean, Lucky Bunnies (TGF)
Paper: Gossamer (Memory Box), Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive (Stamin' Up!)
Ink: Peony (Versacolor), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Accessories: Copic markers, Picot circles, Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), ribbon (Stampin' Up!), stick pins (Little Yellow Bicycle), pearls (Kaiser)

RTB101 - Clouds

Hiya! Me again, with this week's Raise the Bar Challenge. Please scroll down to see my Farm Fresh Friday Challenge for The Greeting Farm down below. :)

Joni has challenged us to use clouds in our challenge this week. I wanted to use the card I had made yesterday for the LMMS Challenge, but knew I had to come up with something fresh so I whipped up another card.

I wanted to keep it simple as I'm sending it to a friend to let her know I'm thinking of her and didn't want it to be bogged down with heavy embellishments and over the top with bright colours.

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB101 for your keywords.

TGF: FFF - No Colouring!

Happy Friday, friends!

I'm hosting this week's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm. I thought I'd really give myself a challenge this week and try no colouring on my cards. Yep, that's right; I said no colouring! *gulp* Paper piece it, heat emboss, etc... but no Copics, pencil crayons, watercolours and any other colouring medium.

I chose  to use Glimmer Bean for my first card as I wanted a character image:

Next up, I used the couch from Sitting Cute and paper pieced everything in.

You may recgonize the sketch, I played along with April's SFYTT again:

To see the other Showcase Farmer's creations, hop on over to TGF Blog.

Thanks so much for bearing with me this week as I struggled to catch up and not using my regular laptop! I hope you have a great weekend.

LMMS Challenge - April Showers

Hiya friends!!! Good news; I'm caught up on all my blog posts, but now I have to upload to galleries and etc. LOL

I'm back as the April Guest Designer for Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog and true to the month, the theme is April Showers. I chose to play with this little Paprika cutie:

The layout I chose for my card is a spinoff of this month's Sketch For You To Try:

You're still going to have to excuse my photos, I'm still using the Beau's laptop and it doesn't have any photo editing software on it. :(

Have a fantastic Thursday and I will see you again tomorrow!

RTB100 - Yes, 100!!! TGF Farm Fresh Patterns

Happy Hump Day, dear readers!!!

Another retro-active post from last week was a big one; it is Raise the Bar's 100th Challenge and even better, The Greeting Farm is sponsoring! One lucky participant will be the winner of their single of choice that is in stock at the TGF store.

For our 100th challenge, our sweet Wanda Cullen created this sketch which happens to look like the #100:
I also combined TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge and used a few different classic patterns on my cards:

Isn't Sitting Cute Anya adorable with those piggy tails?

My dad is celebrating a birthday this month and this card was for him!

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB100 for your keywords.

LMMS: New Releases

As promised, here's me trying to catch up with what I couldn't post last week!

Meet Jasmine, one of the newest digi turned rubber stamp images offered by Little Miss Muffet Stamps:

I think it has something to do with my iPhone resolution, but the photo looks a little pixelated, but if you click it, she comes up nice and clear!

One of my favourites of the EIGHTEEN from this LMMS release! Yes, there are 18 new rubber stamps! If you haven't seen the Design Team's gorgeous projects, find them all here at the LMMS Challenge Blog.

XOXO I gotta run and be out the door here, but will be back later to finish off the supply list!

Week of Laptop Hiatus, Vacation and More...

Hello friends!

I cannot believe that it's been over a week since I've last posted! Many of you know that I did some travelling and had some limited access to the internet! I did mention that my laptop was acting up and after multiple attempts to turn it on, I declared that it was pointless and was unable to post photos on my blog for the rest of the trip. :S

So I'm going to have to retro-post some projects that I couldn't last week; bare with me as I work hard to catch up. I'm sure we've all suffered from technology failures at some point, lol. My laptop is currently with The Beau and he's backing up everything before we hand it over to the technicians.

After returning from Kelowna, I had a couple of days to catch up before heading down south to visit Sparkle for her 30th birthday as well as spending time with some other crafty friends. *Waving* Hiiiii Amy, Lisa, Suzanne, Naomi, Sparkle and Flat Peggy!

Here are only some of the highlights of the weekend:

RTB99 - Spring Chicks, Fairies and Bunnies

This is the last post from me today! ;) Fortunately, this one post at least is on the same day it should be!

It's another Friday so it's time to play along again with us at Raise the Bar Challenges. This week's challenge is Spring/Cutesy Easter.  I had this Glimmer Bean image all dolled up and ready to go so I just had to use her.

Lookie, lookie - I even used up some of the new washi tape that I bought on my travels from a couple weeks ago! I just adore the colour scheme of this card. :)

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB99 for your keywords.
