A Year in Review Blog Hop

Can you believe that 2011 is coming to an end? My Amber Ink Alumni pal, Karin, issued a call for a Year in Review Blog Hop and I wanted to play along! It's always good to go back and review how your style has evolved in the past year.

I'm going to show you 12 of my favourite creations of this past year. If you want to play along, too, just head on over to Karin's blog, link up and post the badge on your blog.

Here they are, in random order:

Holidays 2011

Heya, readers!

I feel bad because I've been neglecting this blog... but I've had bad holiday brain in the last month. I'm currently in my hometown with the Beau visiting my parents. I didn't even get the chance to have an open house with all the decorations in my apartment... boo hoo, I really wanted to show you how much I got into the Christmas spirit this year.

Well, not all is at a loss yet. I made some "Happy Holiday" cards and because I didn't miss New Years and this particular My Mind's Eye line is non-traditional, I can sneak in some 2011 Holiday cards:

I think the Colorful Christmas paper was circa 2009, but I am just making cards with the line now... I've been hoarding the cute and bright papers, but alas - I need to use up my stash! lol I'm sure you'll see more of this line in 2012 as I have a whole stack of paper left.

I'm entering these cards into the DYSU #52 Challenge this week which calls for the use of 3 or more colours from this photo:

Thanks for always still popping in to see what I'm up to - MIA or not. Hugs!

Supplies:
Stamps - sentiment (Stampendous)
Paper - Colorful Christmas - My Mind's Eye, Stampin' Up!
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento),
Accessories - Circle Nestabilities, Snowflake 2010 (Spellbinders), embossing folder (Provo Craft), button (Basic Grey), rhinestones (Forever in Time), ribbon (Offray)

Playing along with Flashback Friday 18.0

OHMYGOODNESS!!! LOL

I just happened to be blurfing (blog-surfing) around on my downtime (I'm officially on holidays, ladies and gents!!) and happened to come across the Flashback Friday Challenge Blog. How FUN is the concept of going back and re-posting some of your oldie cards and making them "new" again!

The current Flashback 18.0 Challenge theme is owls. We all know how much I love owls... but it took me awhile to find a project with an owl on it! But here it is, good ol' Whimsie Doodles:

TGF Customer Blog Hop

Hello there, friends! Welcome to my blog for The Greeting Farm's 3rd Annual Blog Hop.

I hope that you've been enjoying the hop so far and if you didn't know about the Hop and my blog is the first stop, I encourage you to head on over to TGF Blog to see the list of all Hop participants and hop along. I've been told that the list is lengthy, but so worth it as there will be a random grand prize winner of the entire release in January!

Some of the Hop creations will focus on Christmas and the others, like mine, will be a general theme. So without further ado, here are my general TGF cards:

I had two of these Cheeky Cherry Pie images half coloured up and almost ready to go so I picked both of them to use as my main focal image. By half coloured, I mean that they had skin and hair pigments... just needed to fill in their clothes! I selected  my patterned paper first and just picked up colouring the clothes and pie from there.

I always like creating more than one card at a time if they have similar images because I then always have cards on hand in case of any last minute birthdays or events that I need to go to.

For my layout, I used last week's Mojo Monday Sketch #219 as seen below:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Now it's time to check back on the TGF Blog and see the next fabulous TGF creation.

Supplies:
Stamps - Cheeky Cherry Pie, Roll Call Set
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Cameo Coral, River Rock (Stampin' Up!)
Ink -Cinnamon (Versacolor), Tuxedo Black (Memento), River Rock (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories - Copic markers, Vintage brad & bind seaming ribbon (Stampin' Up!), circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Pearls (Kaiser), corner punch (EK Success)

TGF November Challenge

Helloooo there blog readers!

I know, I've been completely MIA from my blog, but with good reason! The Beau and I have been organizing all of our events, crafts, cards, etc, etc and we have been either busy running around shopping or staying in and creating away. I am glad to say that we are getting things done!

If you are a frequent follower of happenings over at The Greeting Farm, you may have already seen this card. Originally I had made this for a girlfriend's birthday, but it just so happened that a special Guest DT challenge was happening over at TGF and this card was entered.

The lovely Peggy won and she is creating up a storm if you want to check her out for the Guest DT member at TGF this month.

Off to bed I go... have a great rest of your week! xo

RTB86 - It's Looking a Lot Like Christmas! ... DT Call

Happy December... what the heck! lol How is almost Christmas already?!

Well the good news is that I am so on top of it this year, I really have surprised myself. LOL I am always running around at the last minute, but not this year, my friends. I am ahead and hopefully will stay ahead of the game!

Speaking of looking a lot like Christmas, that is the theme this week at Raise the Bar!

Now I know these aren't traditionally Christmas colours, but I've grown fond of the non traditional and whimsy Christmas in the last while. I LOVE how bright and playful these papers are from My Mind's Eye... so much that I was hoarding them and have finally decided to use them up!

DESIGN TEAM CALL:
After seeing the Bar grow, we realize that we need a few more employees to help stir up the concoctions. Yes, we are having a DESIGN TEAM call throughout the entire month of December. The requirements are simple - one card a week, and posting it to your blog on Fridays. Easy peasy, right? We will be resuming our first Friday of the month sponsorship come the new year, which means that you will be receiving some fun digis from different companies as a designer! If you are interested, please put the initials DT next to your entry for this upcoming challenge.

And speaking of challenge, we will be taking a December hiatus for all of our holiday busyness. This challenge will be the only challenge until we see you again in January, so please join in on the fun! The winners will be announced in the new year, along with our newest Bar-Tenders who will be contacted over the holidays.

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB86 for your keywords.

To see what the other Bar-tenders have created, please check out all of their blogs below:

For further information and to see what our Guest Designers have made, check out the Raise the Bar blog.

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend... xo
