Destash the Past November

Helloo readers! I hope you had a great weekend. For my "household," the Christmas festivities began; tree and home decorating, making Christmas cards and other crafts. But before I get too far into the season of believing lol - I wanted to show one last ode to autumn. My Destash the Past Challenge went out in early October, but with my participants living busy lives, they were just able to get these all done for Thanksgiving, but I didn't get a chance to post them til now. Oops! lol

Here are the supplies that they were given to work with:

First up, I have Janet who made a beautiful farewell card:

Up next is Odessa who used my favourite, an owl!

Last but not least is Naomi who really got some use out of her supplies and created notepads for giving as well!

Please give these ladies a round of applause for their work! Thanks for playing along Janet, Odessa and Naomi!

RTB84 - Time to Feast!

Happy Friday, friends!

I'm always so dreadful of that Monday, but am always so amazed at how quickly the week goes by.

This week's challenge over at Raise the Bar is FEAST. lol We want to see all your projects with food related items

Now I sort of did my own thing because I couldn't find one food related image or focal items that I liked. So I thought, what is food without your after-dinner-with-dessert-tea?!!! It's all apart of the food comatose, I tell ya! That's my story and I am sticking with it.

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB84 for your keywords.

Weekend Fun

Happy Monday, readers!

Have you started Christmas shopping yet? This weekend was the launch of many of the Christmas Craft Markets in Vancouver. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to craft fairs and I hit up three different ones: Circle Craft, Carney Craft Fair and Shadbolt Centre. LOL

The Beau and I ended the weekend at Art Knapps in Port Coquitlam. If you live in the Metro Vancouver, get over to your local Art Knapps, they have the most gorgeous displays and wonderful inspiration for Christmas decorations and gifts. I was absolutely wow'd!

Take care for now!

RTB83 - Lest We Forget

Hello there blog readers,

Over at Raise the Bar, Joni challenged us to make something to commemorate Veteran's Day, but I thought I would showcase how we celebrate in Canada.

We call it Remembrance Day and we all wear poppies to show that we haven't forgotten. I may not attend a ceremony in person anymore, but I am always grateful that I have never lived to see a war in this country. Take a moment to remember those who fought for our peace and freedom (and to those who continue to do so)!

In Flanders Fields - John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
         In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
         In Flanders fields.

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB83 for your keywords.

RTB82 - No Embellishments ... Oh noes!! lol

Hiya blog readers! This is my second time trying to post this now... Blogger was acting up on me. *sigh* So this post comes a little late.

Joni asked us to create a project for this week's Raise the Bar Challenge without using any embellishments.

HUH? LOL I had to do a double take and ask for clarification.

It was a tough at first because I had to remind myself not to use ribbon, buttons, brads, bling, etc, etc. But luckily patterned paper saved the day!

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB82 for your keywords.
