Happy Fall...

Happy Fall, friends!

The leaves are falling rapidly and the weather has changed drastically! lol I can feel that the days are becoming the crisp mornings and warm afternoons that we love of the autumn weather.

As it rains quite a lot here in the Vancouver area, it makes me stay in and either curl up with a book or makes me want to craft up a storm. ;)

As our Canadian Thanksgiving is approaching, I have a few friends that I would  like to send some warm thoughts to so I thought I would work on some fall themed cards.

Did you notice that this card uses the papers from my Destash the Past Challenge? I have a couple more spots available if you'd like to sign up! I would love to see all spots full.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Scrapbook Sisters - Leaves
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - #101 Autumn

Thanks for stopping by today and we'll talk soon :)

All supplies by Stampin' Up unless noted:

Destash the Past September 2011

Hello bloggers! I am so excited to show off the second Destash the Past Challenge. If you remember, back in August, I posted for friends such as yourselves to sign up and get free goodies from me.

Each participant was given a combo of the below (Piggy Tales) and were able to add any additional embellishments, use any image(s), etc as they wished. I wanted to take the time to thank each participant finding the time to participate in my challenge. Each and everyone of you received the same products and yet you all created something unique and completely different from each other!

First up is Angie Reece

I just adore the banner Angie made across her card here:

Next up, I have Odessa Ditson's creations, isn't this kitty cute?

RTB75 - Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn!

Happy Friday, readers!

Wowzers did we ever have a drastic change in weather here in Vancouver. Remember last week, I was just telling you about how I was just enjoying the last few weeks of summer and then BAM the sky clouded over and the rain started. Rain is what we all expect to get here in the next 6 months! Booooo. LOL

Another Friday means it's time to play along with Raise the Bar again. This week's challenge is quite fitting given the weather change here, we are leaf-ing summer and falling into autumn. We want to see all your autumn foliage projects.

My  card this week uses last year's papers from Stampin' Up that I absolutely just loooove! You see my nutty friend to the right? He's a candle holder that I picked up from the dollar store. :)
Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB75 for your keywords.

Monster

Isn't this lil guy so sweet?! The Beau and I were getting out of our car at the mall parking lot and this guy poked his head out of his owner's truck and said hello. I read on his dog tag that his name is Monster. LOL!

RTB74 - White on White

Hello friends, I hope you've had a fabulous first week into September! The weather here in Metro Vancouver has been absolutely gorgeous. I hope to soak in as much sun as I can this weekend.

For this week's Raise the Bar challenge, we want you to see all your White After Labour Day. lol Yep, that's right - the more white we see, the more we are going to enjoy this week!

I don't know what the colour will look like on your desktop screen, but I mixed in Rich Razzleberry with my white. I quickly saw this post on another desktop and I noticed it almost looked burgundy! Hmm...

I remembered to take a close up of the bow lol ;)

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB74 for your keywords.

Back from Vacation!

Hi there, friends. I hope you had an enjoyable Labour Day Weekend!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was away visiting my parents in Kelowna for the past few days and totally enjoyed it! I wish I could head back there right now. The Beau and I were able to take in a few wineries while we were there and I thought I'd show a couple of highlights with you (click for larger photos):

I just need a day or so to get back into the swing of things, so bare with me! I know I have a Destash the Past Challenge to put up too. TTFN.

End of Summer and Whimsie Doodles Guest DT

Hello blog friends! I hope that your week is going well. Mine has been a whirlwind of activity even though I am on vacation from work right now. Birthdays tend to do that to me! ;) I'll post more photos when I can - I'm going to visit my hometown with the Beau tomorrow and will be away from the City until Sunday. But before I talk more about myself and my plans, I wanted to say that my thoughts are with all of our friends over on the east coast who have been affected by the recent earthquake.

As it's now September 1st (what the heck happened to August!??! It's all a blur lol), my guest designer spot for Whimsie Doodles is complete, but I had one more card to show! I wanted to make this my last card because it reminds me of the summer BBQs and with the Labour Day weekend, you must squeeze in one last big BBQ party.

This image sure does remind me of the Beau as he grilled quite a bit for me this summer. Although this was the summer I learned how to start the grill and cook my steak(s) medium rare; Another item achieved on the bucket list, thank you! LOL I was afraid of starting those darn things previously...

Have a fabulous weekend and I will be back next week with the usual ramblings and some fun photos :D Take care!
