Hoot hoot! OWL Canada

Hi there, friends! So here are some of those photos I wanted to show you... I have been waiting for the perfect day to go to OWL Canada out in Delta, B.C., but have never had a chance to or something else has come up.

Owl Canada is a rehabilitation centre for raptors. The birds that we got to see included falcons, vultures, eagles and of course owls!!!

You see this little guy, he means some serious business. His name is Piggy and I'm now a proud sponsor of him and his other cagemates (Kermit and Serenity).

Thanks for stopping by and checkin' out my "hooters. " LOL I couldn't help it :P

Just Peeking In ;)

Woot woot - it's already Wednesday!

Just thought I'd "peek" in and show you a sneaky of my weekend. I'm still in the process of downloading some photos so bare with me, I promise the wait is so worth it!

Whimsie Doodles August Guest Designer

Welcome, Thursday! :D

I have fun news to share with you today: I'm the August Guest Designer over at Whimsie Doodles!! The August release was an awesome release with a mixture of summer and school inspired images. I've picked and chosen some of my favourites to work with and in fact, you saw one of them yesterday when I made a card with Dig You Leah.

The project that I'm sharing with you today is an altered composition book. I've always been meaning to alter one of those puppies as I've seen some great outcomes with them. I decided to use the bookworm image for my focal point and just worked from there.

I have a few friends who are teachers and plan to make one for each and likely putting their first initial on each book to personalize them. I thought that the apples went so well with the worm!

Have you altered a composition book yet? I'd love to hear/see what you've done. If you haven't - get on it!! LOL They are so much fun and will be well used.

I'll be showing off more Whimsie Doodles projects as the month continues so be sure to check in with me again soon. I'll be back tomorrow with the Raise the Bar Challenge of the week.

Supplies:
Stamps - Bookworm (Whimsie Doodles digi)
Paper - Old Olive, Riding Hood Red & polka dot (Stampin' Up!), apple print paper (K & Company)
Ink - Stampin' Up!
Accessories - rectangle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), ribbon & Decorative Label punch (Stampin' Up!)

Another week of summer gone past... hope you are all enjoying it! I'm getting ready for a luau that I will be hosting in my apartment near the end of the month. It should be a blast :)

For this week's Raise the Bar Challenge, we are toasting the dog days of summer. Make a project with a furry friend.

I had to admit I was a puzzled at what to do, but at the last minute, I remembered I had stashed away this Basic Grey set. I know it came out a few seasons ago, but it's so darned cute!

Hope to see you playing along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB70 for your keywords.

Bellingham, WA - 7.31.11 - Chihuahuas

The Beau and I headed down south for a quick shopping trip to pick up a few goods and we finally had the chance to stop by Chihuahuas Mexican restaurant in Ferndale, Washington. The restaurant was recommended to me by a colleague a few years back and now I wonder why we didn't stop by sooner. Great proportions, great service and delish food!

This was my jumbo Pina Colada... sooo tasty and just what I needed on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.

Mmm... see you next time, Chihuahuas!
