Some Tim Holtz Love - Tag Swap

Hello, bloggers!
Hope you had a terrific weekend! How come they always seem so short when you're busy running around doing errands? lol I'm off on a vacation to Vegas starting Thursday to spend some quality time with the Beau for his birthday trip so I'm trying to get as much done as possible before we leave.
I recently completed and am waiting for the return package of a "Tim Holtz 12 Day's of Christmas Tags - Inspiration Swap" at the Stamp Shack. I've been admiring and wanting to make some TH inspired tags of my own and this swap was the perfect motivator to get me going!

This tag was CASE'd from his Day 5 Tag as seen here. I fell in love with his Christmas Component stamps and now own three of them from this past Christmas season.
I can't wait to get this swap back and I'll post the other swappers' tags for you when I get the package!
Have a great week and I'll check back in with you before I leave. :)
Supplies:
Stamps - Santa Letter (Stamper's Anonymous), Swirls (Autumn Leaves)
Paper/Ink - Stampin' Up
Accessories - Nestabilities Label 14 (Spellbinders), Studio number die cuts (Quickutz), glitter glue (Stickles), white acrylic paint, ribbons (Offray), flower punch (EK Success), holly punch (Martha Stewart), vintage sheet music

RTB #51 - Colour Inspiration: Purple, Yellow, Blue

Fluttering by just to say hi, friends!

I can't believe another week has gone by so quickly! The challenge over at Raise the Bar this week is a colour combo of Purple, Yellow, Blue as seen in the photo below:

***Note that this is not photo inspiration, but a colour pallette possibility***

I loved the butterflies on the cupcakes though and wanted to include some in my inspiration card this week...

Hope to seeing you play along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB51 for your keywords.

I was set on making some Valentines this week as well as using this new $1 stamp that I purchased from Michael's. Published! (Late post though lol)

Heya readers! I'm normally not one to toot my own horn so I guess that's why it's taken me 2 months and into the new year to announce that I was published in Just Cards! Holidays 2

I was very, very surprised to see an envelope for me from Scott Publications in the mail, I orginally mailed in my cards in 2008! It just goes to show you that you never know what they're looking for and everyone should submit as much as they can.

Thanks for stopping in and sharing in my joy. :) Come back tomorrow for my post with Raise the Bar.

RTB #49 - Oh To Be A Kid Again

Happy Friday to you all, friends!

I had a grrreat start to mine; the fire alarm in my apartment building went off at 3am and luckily it was only a false alarm. Yes, indeed a false alarm that was going off for about a half hour and a complete disruption to my sleep. LOL

Moving right along into this week's Raise the Bar Challenge... the theme is to be a kid again! Use a child or children image(s) on your projects.

I've had this "Boys will be Boys" stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms for the past 2 years, but this card was the first time it saw some ink! I don't know why it took me so long to ink it up, the little boy's pout just warms my heart.

Hope to seeing you play along with us! If you upload to any online galleries, please label RTB49 for your keywords.

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Last night the Metro Vancouver area got hit with some snow so getting into work this morning will be a little bit of a pain. I know that most of you are snow covered out there at the moment so I'm not complaining! The snow will probably be washed away by the afternoon anyhow. lol

Normally I'm so good with a review of the past year, but I'm just going to kind of skip on over and embrace 2011 instead. I can feel there will be many changes, ups and downs and the rest of the whole lot so all I can really do is sit back and expect the unexpected and be ready for anything that comes my way!

I wonder what type of goals/resolutions you have this year? If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to hear what you have planned. :)

With New Year comments out of the way, let's showcase a card!
This is a special image for me as the image was produced while I was still on the Whimsie Doodles Design Team. A geisha/Japanese card was requested by my roommate to give as a Graduation card to one of her friends who loves all things Japanese.

I'm not a huge fan or purple, but I love the way this card turned out - purple and all! lol

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll be back on Friday for the Raise the Bar Challenge. Stay warm and dry!

Supplies:
Stamps - Miyako Tea digi (Whimsie Doodles), sentiment (Stampin Up)
Paper - Die Cuts with a View, Bazzill
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsuineko), Colorbox (Clearsnap)
Accessories - Copic markers, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Provo Craft), brads (Basic Grey),

Happy New Year and RTB Challenge #48

Happy New Year, dear blogging friends! <-- I still get to say this as it's my first post of 2011 ;)

I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and that you got plenty of rest! My days right before and up to Boxing Day were busy, but as soon as I went out of town to visit my parents, I got a few days of rest and relaxation.

The challenge this week at Raise the Bar is Father Time - with photo inspiration:
