The challenge this week is to use a vehicle on your project and this motorcycle from Stampin Up is perfect for it! Have you noticed I've been making a lot of simple/clean cards lately? Hmmm interesting. LOL

Dragon Reading and Meeting Sparkle

Happy hump day!!! Woo hoo, the week is half over and Halloween is JUST around the corner!! It's my FAVOURITE holiday of the year (besides the birthday, of course lol). I'm gearing up for our Halloween

The card I am showing you today is one I made for my roommate for her 30th birthday! She loves reading books and dragons so when I saw this image over at Sweet Pea Stamps, I HAD to get it for her special milestone birthday.

The Basic Grey papers and the use of numbers on a card remind me of how Sparkle makes some of her milestone cards... and I didn't even realize that I was CASE-ing her until after I finished up.

Speaking of Sparkle - lol - I had SO much fun hanging out with her this past Saturday! The Beau and I met her at Bellevue Square and had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then she took me to Paper Source and Impress. She is as petite and cute in person as she is in her photos. :) Thanks for hanging out with us, Sparks!

Thanks for stopping by today; enjoy the rest of your day.

Supplies:

Stamps - Book Dragon (Sweet Pea)
Ink - Colorbox (Clearsnap), Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsuineko)

Happy weekend, friends!

While this post comes late, I have exciting news to share with you today! I am going to meet up with Sparkle today. Hooray - we now get to meet for the first time!

Well folks, this week's challenge at Raise the Bar is purple, orange and black!!

It's Your Day - RTB Hobby Challenge

Happy Monday, friends! (Is there such a thing as a "happy" Monday? lol)

For some reason, my pre-set post never posted so here I am today posting it (again). This week's challenge over at Raise the Bar is to get a hobby! Make a creation that is anything hobby related. The sky is the limit on this challenge :)

My mom had asked me to create a 60th birthday card and I know the recipient loved to play golf so I couldn't help to create this golf horizon card.

Forever - A & W October 10, 2010

G'day!!! (I told you I'd be back today ;) lol)

Remember the wedding I mentioned in the last couple of posts? I DID make the couple a very special wedding day card as they are very close friends of mine. The groom is how I met my own Beau actually!

I have been wanting to use this darling little couple for the longest time and I had to wait for the "right" couple to make a card for! I bought this Greeting Farm set back in the day when it was made in rubber, but I'm happy to add that they put it back out as a digi stamp called "Kissy-Kissy." :D Now ya'll race overto get it, ya hear? lol

Thanks so much for popping by today. I will be back tomorrow with the Raise the Bar challenge of the week.

Supplies:
Stamps - Cake Topper set (The Greeting Farm)
Paper - Stampin Up
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsuineko)
Accessories - Copic markers, flowers (Prima), baubles (Stamping Bella), embossing folder (Cuttlebug), flourish dies (Quickutz), top note die (Stampin Up), Stickles glitter glue (Ranger), wrapping ribbon

Ahhh... Autumn at last!

Hello friends!! I hope that you have all been having a great week thus far and a happy belated Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends.

After the water damage disaster, the wedding as well as the roommate's 30th birthday, we had to run off to my hometown for Thanksgiving weekend! LOL Last Thursday, my body had it and I spent the weekend at home miserable and sick. My dad asked, "Why'd you bother coming home if you were so ill?" Picture me, sitting there... blinking, blinking and then finally responding "Uhh... well, Dad...the sickness wasn't planned!" :P

My "Asian" Thanksgivings never have really have Turkey... for example, this year - the Beau and I had fried rice and some salad! But I LOVE my Dad's fried rice and I rarely get to eat it since I don't live at home anymore.

I thought I would also share some photos of the Fall that I've taken in the last little while:

On the way home from some shopping, the Beau and I passed this house that had all these little gourds outside their fence with the FREE sign!

A couple of weeks ago, I looked out my balconea and one of the clouds looked exactly like a Canadian Goose to me. What do you think?!

Alrighty, I think that's a wrap for the update on me. I'm on my way to recovery and I do plan to be back tomorrow for a PAPER CRAFTING related post. lol Thanks for stopping by today!

Karma Blast? ... Life As I've Come to Know It In The Past Week

Hello and happy Thursday, friends!!!

I know I've been MIA... but I think the photo below basically explains it all:

My roommate and I had a water leak in our storage unit downstairs and have been busy cleaning it up. I was also coordinating a wedding reception as well celebrating a 30th birthday somewhere in the mix of the last week.

My brain and body are both exhausted and alas, I've just needed to take some time off from blogging land. Thanks for bearing through with me.
