Foxy Lady - Sweet Stop Sketch

TGIF, friends! I hope that you have had a great week.

For some odd reason, I've been extra tired and I hope to catch up on some sleep this weekend. My card for today showcases another
Whimsie Doodles image and uses the The Sweet Stop's sketch layout.

Here is this week's sketch:

Here is my interpretation of the sketch:

I wanted to keep the design of the card simple, feminine and foxy! lol This card also matches the challenge at Paper Garden Projects where they are calling for feminine and frilly projects. You get a chance to win a Kraftin Kimmie stamp, so make sure you check their blog.

I hope that you have a great weekend! Take care and we'll catch up early next week. :)

Supplies:
Stamps - Stitch'ems (Whimsie Doodles)
Paper - Stampin Up
Ink - Colorbox (Clearsnap)
Accessories - Copic markers, Nestabilities (Spellbinders), pearls (Kaiser Crafts), ribbon (American Crafts), stick pins (Maya Road), flowers (Prima), heart rhinestones (unknown)

Oh Alice Challenge Sketch - Texting Teen

Yippie; it’s Wednesday which means it’s Whimsie Wednesday over at Paper Craft Planet! This week, Sheri has challenged us to use our favourites; favourite embellishment(s), colour and Whimsie image(s).

I combined this challenge with the sketch challenge over at the Oh Alice blog (see below). I’ve been meaning to play along the past few weeks and was able to this time around! I have to sheepishly admit that my card isn’t very Wonderland themed though… Hmm. Lol But either way, I’m happy with the outcome of the card.

My favourites that I used were die cuts, ribbon and brads, the colour red and I think this is my favourite teen image. It completely fits the young adults today in the texting world. It would have been too hard to choose one ultimate favourite because I really love all the images over at Whimsie Doodles. To get the full info on the challenges, click on over to the Whimsie Challenge and the Oh Alice Challenge.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Supplies:
Stamps – Texting Teen (Whimsie Doodles), sentiment (Roll Call set, The Greeting Farm)
Paper – Stampin up
Ink – Colorbox (Clearsnap)
Accessories – Copic markers, top note die (Sizzix/Stampin Up), cherry die (Quickutz), scallop oval dies (Spellbinders), stick pins (unknown), brads (Basic Grey), white pen

Diedrich Double Dare and Raise the Bar Challenges with Whimsie

Greetings to all of you! Today is my Monday after the long weekend so it may be a long day at work for me. Boo hoo. lol

That's okay though, I had my fair share of paper crafting this weekend and thus why I'm posting lots this week. I had set a goal that after I came back from the cruise, I would participate in more challenges. I definitely kicked butt this past weekend! For today's post, I used some Whimsie Doodle images and played along with Whimsical Wednesdays: Diedrich Double Dare as well as Raise the Bar challenges.

Why a double dare you ask... because there were two different sketches and I was able to play along with both! Design Team member, Heather, had her two daughters each draw a sketch as seen below; aren't they adorable? lol For more details on this challenge, check out the original post here.

For the other card, I also used Raise the Bar's challenge this week which was to use a purse for inspiration. I pulled this image up from an Etsy listing:

While the colours are different, I was following the patterns on the purse.

I hope you have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Well, can you believe it - this is my first Christmas card this year. This was my entry for The Greeting Farm's CASEing Critter's Challenge. The "win" was to become a member of the Critter Crew. There were so many great entries, I'm just happy that I was able to complete something that I was content in showing off my work before the cruise. I will definitely be watching for any calls for design members in the future and try again!

Either way, I hope you have a fabulous week! We'll have to catch up when I get back. :) Take care.

Whimsie One Year Anniversary Sneak Peeks

G'day friends and I hope that you're having a great weekend!

May marks the one year anniversary of Whimsie Doodles and we're throwing a big hoopla to celebrate! The celebration started yesterday with a few of my fellow DT members showing some Ginger peeks. If you head on over to the Whimsie blog post HERE, you will be linked to all the fabulous new Ginger images.

Over the next several days, the DT will be showing all the new digi and rubber images with the big hoopla happening on May 5th. Make sure that you go post on the Whimsie blog everyday to have a chance to win the images that are being showcased each day. On May 5th, we'll have a blog hop and if you're going to be partying with us and participating in our challenge, you have a chance to to win ALL the new images!
My cards showcase the new Bee Well Soon and Hang in There digi images. I altered the sentiment the bear comes with and used "peek a boo" instead. I know that most "get well or "feel better" cards come in neutral colours, but I always think that these kinds of cards should be bright and cheery!

The card sketches I used are from the The Sweet Stop and Mercy's blogs as seen below:
