Whimsie Wednesday (er.. now Thursday) PCP Challenge

It's that time again for the Whimsie Wednesday Challenge! Hope your week is going well so far.

Dawn is the hostess this week and she has challenged us to "go figure!" Make a card that is any shape other than square/rectangle. I know I haven't made a pyramid card in awhile so figured that this would be perfect. If you follow Stamp Owl's instructions - you too can easily create this card.

The photograph below is the inside of the card; I had to use Hershey's kisses to hold the sides down so that I could take a photo. I hope you take part in the challenge over at Paper Craft Planet. Eeks! I can't believe that Valentine's AND Chinese New Year are just around the corner... xoxo Take care for now.

Supplies:
Stamps - Lil Cupid Penguin Set, My Sentiments Exactly
Paper - Doodlebug Designs, Bazzill
Ink - Memento, Versacolor
Accessories - Copic markers, heart stickers, Spellbinders Nestabilities, EK Succes circle punch, Stickles glitter glue, Liquid Pearls

My first Christmas card for 2010

Sweet, sweet Tuesday... New changes are happening in my life and it's been hectic!

I can't believe I'm showing off a Christmas card, but I depleted my card stash this past Christmas and need to be prepared for 2010. Gasp, did you notice that it's a vintage inspired card? Yeah, Thanh might possibly be switching over! According to the magazines and the newest previews of merchandise, vintage seems to be all the rage right now.

The image is from Crafty Secrets Christmas Images and Journal Notes. Crafty Secrets has been producing vintage items for years now and I have to admit that I've grown to love the quality in their products! Me, cute whimsy girl loving vintage - what the heck! lol

I always appreciate you stopping by - thanks for your support.

Supplies:
Image - Crafty Secrets Christmas Images and Journal Notes
Stamps - Stampendous sentiment
Paper - K & Company patterned paper, craft cardstock
Ink - Versacolor
Accessories - Basic Grey buttons, ribbons, EK Success snowflake punch, Bazzill flower, Pearl Glimmer Mist

Whimsie Happy Birthday PCP Challenge

Happy Friday!!! I'm a couple of days late for my Whimsie Wednesday PCP post...oops! It's been a hectic week once again and I just want some time to be able to create some projects but cant seem to find the time to sit down and be motivated.

Getting back on track, Nicole is our host this week and she has challenged us to make a birthday card. I apologize for the quality of the photo, but it was late at night and I tried my best to get at the right angle. :( I kept it short and simple this week as time was tight this week. The inspiration for the layout came from Mercy's Sketch #57 as seen below.

Cloud 9 Cupid

Happy Monday! Did you have a great weekend?

I had an awesome weekend that was spent catching up with friends, making and eating good food and I even made it in to shop at Michael's to pick up all their cute new spring bin items. I picked up all these great chipboard books - have you seen them? They are going to make great mini albums.

The image I used for today's card is Whimsie Doodle's Cloud 9 Cupid. Isn't he darling? Yes - I realize I coloured his top pink, but c'mon - boys are allowed to wear a bit of pink here and there!

Have a great week and thanks so much for visiting today.

Supplies:
Stamps - Whimsie Doodles: Cloud 9 Cupid and Lil Cupid (XOXO), My Sentiments Exactly sentiment
Ink - Memento
Paper - Bazzill cardstock, Stampin Up patterned paper
Accessories - Copic markers, Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities, Stampin Up top note die, Quickutz heart die, Stickles glitter glue, pink brads, Bazzill flower, beige embroidery floss, sparkle embossing powder, Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist

Whimsie Wednesday Challenge 13- Kelli's Keepin' It Real

Happy Friday!!! What are your plans for this weekend? I plan to RELAX.

Kelli is our hostess with the mostest this week with the Paper Craft Planet Challenge. She is asking us to use real items in our work and by that, she wants us to replace parts of the image with real, hard embellishments.

(Inside of Card)

You already all know that I'm a bit twisty and instead of using the newest releases, I wanted to revive ;) our old Voodoo That You do image. I used real seamstress pins with pink heads and also replaced the buttons with red rhinestones. The sketch used for this card is from Friday Sketcher's #83.

The outside of the card makes so much more sense when you read the inside! LOL Yes, I'm pretty proud of this one. I hope to see you playing along. Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps - Whimsie Doodles: Voodoo That You Do, Lil Cupid. Autumn Leaves: flourish
Ink - Colorbox, Versacolor
Paper - Bazzill cardstock, Stampin Up patterened paper
Accessories - Copic markers, seamstress pins, rhinestone gems, pearls, Stickles glitter glue, white gel pen, Spellbinder's Nestabilities, Quickutz heart die, Fiskars tag punch

Doodlelicious Blog Hop {Valentine's}

Welcome Whimsie Doodles Fans! Thank you for visiting and playing along in our Doodlelicious blog hop!

My project features the letter Y, which is for yummy confections.

For my project, I used the new Whimsie Doodles set, Lil' Cupid, which is available in the Whimsie Doodles store, starting today!

Indeed, I used a Purdy's Chocolate box, but I felt that it needed to be a little jazzed up to give away to my sweetie. ;) The yumminess is already there and the final touch is all about presentation.

Be sure to visit all of our Doodlelicious Design Team blogs today and comment on their projects and on the Whimsie Doodles blog for your chance to win some fantastic prizes!

Buh-bye 2009 and welcome 2010

Happy New Year! I hope that the last few days of the new year have been going great for you and I wish you all nothing but the best for the rest of the year!

The first days for me started out great until my roommate found out this morning that her grandpa passed away last night. It's been a rough day for her; please keep her in your thoughts.

I'm hopeful that the next year will bring great changes. A lot happened in 2009 and as I take a moment to reflect back on some moments, I'm glad that they are in the past.

The card I'm showing you today is based on the fact that I'm excited for this year! I love a good martini and so this image is perfect! I decided to use the Bottoms Up sentiment from Ginger Muffin top to make it more suitable to a birthday card if I decide to use it for that occasion instead.

The sketch I used to complete this card is Mercy's Sketch #54 as seen below:

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check in tomorrow to read about what's to come!

Supplies:
Stamps - Whimsie Doodles: Ginger Muffin Top and New Year's Lush
Paper - DCWV and Stampin Up cardstock
Accessories - Copic markers, Martha Stewart loop punch, Stampin Up circle punch, Spellbinder's Oval Nestabilities, black ribbon, embroidery thread, pink rhinestone gems, dimensional adhesive
