For You, With Love Happy Kitty

Good evening, friends. I'm sure that you've been hearing enough of these complaints from friends and family across North America, but it really is smokin' hot here! The Metro Vancouver area is currently going through a heatwave and no one is liking it. lol What keeps me going is all those people who live in this weather all the time; I think of them and if they can go on about their daily routine, I can handle it for a couple of weeks. Right?

Check back with me tomorrow though, I may have melted by then!

In all seriousness, I made this card back in February (hence the lovey dovey theme), but never had a chance to post it. I was just learning how to play with Copics so be kind with your criticism. ;) Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you're keeping cool.

Supplies: Images - Great Impressions cat stamp, Stampin Up sentiment. Paper - Bazzill cardstock, My Mind's Eye. Ink - Memento and Versacolor by Tsukineko. Accessories - Copic Markers, Stickles Glitter glue, EK Success circle and heart punches, Spellbinders Nestabilities, ribbon.

Mojo (last) Monday - Whimsie's Hot Stuff

Aloha friends! I hope that everyone had a good weekend.

The Metro Vancouver area experienced a severe thunderstorm yesterday (Saturday, note the time I an writing this post) and I will let you in on my little secret, they scare the sh*t out of me. I actually saw the plaza mall down the street get hit. I've never seen anything like it in my life - saw sparks and then the entire block was pitch black. I hope no one got hurt. All I wanted to do was crawl into my bed and hide... you don't think I'm serious do you? What got me through is a crazy roommate who loves storms and drinking ourselves silly (for her enjoyment and for my nerves). LOL Needless to say, after the drinks, it was a good night!

It has been so hot and muggy and it felt right to pull out the Ride the Wave image from Whimsie Doodles.

I think the rest of the DT members played with this image a long time ago, but this was my first chance! What do you think of the colours... I played along with the colours of the paper, but I am not sure about them.

The sketch used for the layout was Mojo Monday*s Week 96 Challenge.

I need to hit the sack, but when I am more awake, I will post the supplies to this card. Good night.. er or good day and thanks for putting up with me through this post ;)

Cutie Construction Worker

G’day… I am so, so tired today! I have been battling the sun for the last couple of months in my new apartment and I finally got drapes to block out the sun, however; the summer heat still keeps me awake.

I mentioned in my last post that I had a go-go-go Sunday; I had to attend a 2 year old birthday BBQ with the Beau by noon and we live approximately an hour’s drive away. On that morning, I had to take photos of my cards, edit them, post them online and leave for this party! Thanks, Beau, for taking my photos and editing them. Huggles.

So this is the card we made together made for the little guy on Sunday. Beau and I worked together late Saturday night to colour and cut out the pieces to make up the construction worker. These images come from Pink Cat Studio’s Dress Up Billy. This is a recent addition to my Pink Cat Studio images and heck, I got them at a good time! The mom was delighted to see her son being made on a card, lol.

Supplies: Stamps-Pink Cat Studio: Dress Up Billy, Stampin Up sentiment, CTMH number 2. Paper-Stampin Up cardstock, DCWV patterned paper. Ink-Memento, Versacolor from Tsukineko. Accessories-ribbon from Stampin Up, Copic markers, Spellbinder’s Nestabililities ovals, EK Success circle punches.

Hello friends! Thanks for joining me today to check out another Whimsie Doodles image from the latest release. This particular image is from one of the Voodoo sets that Melyssa created. They each come with a boy and girl voodoo. The other set is called Voodoo That You Do and you can move the pin along the body anyway you like! Then you also have the accessories to play with as well. It's a bit twisted, but I totally get it! It's Thanh's kind of humour know what I mean? ;)

Whimsie Doodles Release Day

First off, I wanted to wish all my fellow Canadians a Happy 142nd Canada Day! I always say this each and every year, but I'm so grateful to be living in a country that is diverse and free of war.

Today also marks the Whimsie Doodles Release Day!! You will find the digital images the Design Team has been posting the last week all available at the Etsy store. Haven't tried digital stamping? The images are really affordable and you get them within 24 hours - no waiting for the company to ship your products and post office delays. Give it a try with one of the Whimsie Doodles images!

This card features one of the images and sentiments from the Kitchen Gingers set. You can see one of the other images in my previous post. I've also used the same patterned papers from Stampin Up and colour scheme.

The sketch I followed is from The Fresh Batch's Sketch Challenge No. 21. I am loving the weekly sketches these ladies provide. I've included the original sketch so you can play along as well.

Thanks for stopping by, have a happy Wednesday!
