Strawberry-licious

Ahhh... summer always makes me think of fresh fruit and definitely berries. I guess it may have something to do with growing up in the Okanagan. I took a small break from my City life and was visiting my parents from July 31 to August 5, it was a nice short little visit. Now I'm back and feeling a bit refreshed.

I absolutely love this baby themed DCWV paper! Heck, I loved it so much, I bought the entire paper pack. I normally don't even pick up baby themed papers, but the animals and the shades were too cute.

Stamps: Strawberry Topiary and sentiment from OBP
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils with OMS, Doodlebug brads, Stickles Glitter Glue

Happy 141 Canada!

On this particular day, each and every year, I am reminded of the beautiful country I live in free of war, starvation and disease. I am so thankful and so proud to say I AM CANADIAN.

I'm not that great with two-toned cards and felt that there should be contrasting colour in there... I chose black obviously. While you can't see it on this card, I gave the Flag a diamond glaze as well as glittering the word "Canada" to give the card some dimension.

Supplies: Stamps: GCS Artstamps, Stampin Up. Ink: Stampin Up, Versacolor. Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon, brads Stampin Up corner punch, Diamond Glaze, Stickles Glitter Gluee, Prismacolor Pencils w/ OMS.
