TECC22 + Desmond Squeaker

Oh gosh - I've been so busy! Not this past week, but the week before, I had plans with different friends everyday of the week starting Tuesday til Saturday. Needless to say, my life (as always) has been a little hectic. The reception for the Mexican wedding I was the MOH for is this coming Saturday, so I have been busy helping the bride with her wedding favours and last minute errands. Definitely can't promise that I will be posting much this next week, but I'm going to try as I have projects to show you!

I've challenged myself to get out there and do different blogger's weekly challenges. I know some of you have been doing this for ages, and honestly if I had the time, I would! This past weekend, I was reading Taylor's blog and figured that I would make something of her sketch challenge and the above is what I came up with. I just loved this paper and the fact that birds are so hot right now, that the paper would be used up in no time!

Supplies:
Stamp: Odd Bird Planet's Desmond Squeaker. Paper: Heidi Grace Designs. Ink: Stampin Up. Accessories: ribbon, white gel pen, Stampin Up Scallop Circle punch, Whispers Markers, corner rounder punch.

Tough Guy Father's Day

EDIT: I retook a photo of the card. I just couldn't handle not seeing the true colours!

Happy belated Father's Day to all those dad's out there! My dad is 4 hours away, so all he got was a phonecall...LOL

Apologies for this bad quality photo, I took it in the middle of the night with my daylight lamp and tried to Photoshop it. I obviously didn't do that great of a job! LOL I also had my computer formatted and erased all the major programs off of my computer. When I started the reinstalling, I put Photoshop on, but I am still learning how to operate it! Disaster I tell you, but it can only get better from here on, no? Sketch design from Philippa of Lime Tart.

This is the last card of my Father's Day set of 2008! My next "set" of cards will be focusing on summer, I hope. We haven't had much sun in the Metro Vancouver area. It seems like the sun likes to come and tease us with its warmth for 1-2 days and then its back to rain and grey skies. Please send some sunshine my way

The focal image is OBP's Tattoo Plumber Bird. Pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye. Ink: Stampin Up. Accessories: Brads, Prismacolor Pencils with OMS.

Catch of the Day

Woot. Another Father's Day card... well, not really. I rushed around and dumped everything in my room looking for this card last night! I was really quite upset when I couldn't find it as I wanted to send the card to my dad. Then I went to the photo file on my computer and it turns out that I took the photo back in April! I think what may have happened is that I sent the card to my dad for his birthday! LOL. Oooops.

This image is another one I got from the swap I mentioned yesterday. If you know who the manufacturer is, please let me know.

Supplies: Stamps: ? and sentiment from CTMH. Paper: Stampin Up, Basic Grey & Karen Foster. Ink: Stampin Up. Accessories: Making Memories Brads, grosgrain ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Prismacolor Pencils with OMS.

OBP: Owl Week

Oh me oh my! Shame on me for not knowing that it was Owl Week @ Splitcoast for the Odd Bird Planet!!!

In honor of challenge #2 - I created this super quick card tonight before going to bed (which is coming directly after I hit "publish post").

It's a bit of owl overkill, but hey... it's Owl Week! lol. Gnite and see you tomorrow.

Supplies: Patterned paper: Sassafras Lass. Stamps: Odd Bird Planet Little Allison and Little Al. Accessories: ribbon, brads.

Father's Day

Yippie! For once I am posting cards before the actual holiday has come and gone. I was able to make a few Father’s Day themed cards a couple of weeks ago before I got busy with life and actually post them online.

For starters – if anyone knows what company the focal image belongs to – please let me know! I got this image in a “masculine images” swap last year and finally used it. Oh, if anyone also knows if this card was made from a sketch – also let me know. I’m so not on the ball. I see these wicked card layouts and sketch it onto a scrap piece of paper and file it, but not writing down a source. It all bites me in the butt later.

In case you may be wondering, the supplies:
Stamps: ? and sentiment from TAC. Paper: DCWV stack. Ink: Stampin Up and Versacolor. Accessories: Ribbon, Making Memories brads, circle punches, Stampin Up corner punch, Prismacolor Pencils w/ OMS.

Application, Part IV

The fourth and final card that I am going to share with you from my DT application! This was one of my favourite cards that I sent in and perhaps it's because I used Sir Serpent. I love this little guy, he looks so happy and wears the expression of "just keep swimming." No instructions needed, I think you can all see what I did to make this card come together. You can find the "pour toi" sentiment here.

Supplies: Stamps: Odd Bird Planet. Paper - Basic Grey, Wild Asparagus & Stampin Up. Ink: Stampin Up. Accessories: Marvy Oval & Scalloped Oval punches, Making Memories brads, hole puncher, white gel pen, Spots & Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Pebbles Ink Chalk, Prismacolor Pencils w/ OMS, Stickles Glitter Glue and Michael's ribbon.
