justjohanna Application, Part III

The idea for this card came from Frances aka StampOwl and can be viewed here.

When I saw the circus tent image (soon to be released), the pyramid card quickly came to mind. It's definitely a simple card as I didn't want to make it too busy. This is definitely my kinda card as it looks really neat, but doesn't require too many tricks for putting it together. If you follow Frances's instructions, you should be golden!

I am really enjoying these bright colours that every paper company is carrying this season. These Sassafras Lass papers so yummy! I can guarantee that you will be seeing more of this patterned paper in the future.

Thanks for your comments on the clown card yesterday. Did you see any likeness in today's card and yesterdays? The eyebrows of the clown are the tent tops of today's card. Have an amazing day!

justjohanna Application, Part II

You know those days when you wake up fresh and ready to go? You just know that it is going to be a fabulous day - the sun is shining and the birds are singing, my friends. Though I'm stuck inside at work today, thank goodness I have a big window looking out of my office.

Guess what day it is also... Happy Birthday Johanna! Hope you have a great day!

This is my second card of six for the Odd Bird Planet application. Hmmm... what's that you say? You don't recognize any of the images? Well, it's a clown face that I made on my own with different images that have yet to be released. I'll start from top to down. His eyebrows are circus tent tops. The red clown hair is cotton candy and his nose is part of a trio of balls. The eyes are punches. The stars are Quickutz dies. The mouth and the bow-tie are both handrawn and cut out by me. Finally, the sentiment is one of my favourites ever from the Odd Bird Planet! My favourite colour just so happens to be red!

Baby Dango Card Application, Part I

Hola friends. I've been given the a-ok to show the cards I sent in for justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet application. Now I'm normally not one to even think about Christmas cards until late Autumn, but I bought Baby Dango earlier this year, and didn't have a chance to ink him up yet. The other stamp used was from a circus tent that has yet to be released from the Planet. I went ahead and used the April 2008 sketch design from johanna's newsletter. The "sentiment" is my own handwriting.

Big News and general update.

Holaaa everyone. I'm home, but have had a busy couple weeks since I arrived home. My mom was here last weekend and I went to a spectacular show yesterday that I will post about later.

Hi Friends!!!

Just wanted to let you know that April was a busy month (as you can see, I haven't posted in forever!) .

But I am heading down south to Seattle tonight and will be flying south to Mexico tomorrow!!!

One of my gf's is getting married and I am her MOH. Have a fantastic week and I hope to be posting more when I get back. xox
