A little paper crafts obsession

Do you all think that I have a Paper Crafts obsession? I just noticed how many of their publications I have picked up in the last couple of months... take into account that I did get one as a gift!... Does that make a difference? lol. Perhaps I should get a subscription. But then I am all picky when the mailman brings it. I can't stand when they bend them in the middle; that little crease drives me bonkers.

I am alive and well other than the fact that I got hit with the stomach flu earlier this week. Andy (dearest boyfriend) claims that it was my cooking. We're so not going there. School is kicking my butt, and that's pretty much all that's new with me.

I got my Bellas and an RAK in the mail earlier last week! Linda, a member from the Stamp Shack, was kind enough to stamp me a bunch of the "Stinkin' Cute" images from Stampin Up! Along with it came this adorable kitty card. Haven't yet had a chance to play with them, but I know I will.

What a day! (yesterday)

For those of you who don't know, I go to school at SFU, which is on top of Burnaby Mountain... AKA a biggish mountain here on the west coast. When the snow comes down too fast, they have a hard time keeping up and normally just shut down the school.

Well, unfortunately for me, I wasn't paying that much attention to the snow when I was at school and by the time I decided to leave, they shut it down while I was standing at the bus stop. To make a long story short, I was stuck at the school for 4.5 hours. Luckily, I had some friends to keep me company, but we weren't sure if we were going to be staying overnight or not. There was also an accident where the bus swerved and ended up in the ditch. They had to block off the roads, clear the accident, allow those cars stuck in the closure to go, plow and salt the roads, and finally free the students! It was just a long day overall, but I think I would have rather been at school in a warm building than been on that bus that crashed or any other vehicle collision.

To make this a happier post, I wanted to share a mini project with you. I have altered this altoid tin as a friendship album to give to one of my friends. I love the Piggy Tales line and cannot wait to play with more of the patterned papers.

The empty spaces are for her to fill with pictures of (hopefully) us. lol. The supplies I used were: Piggy Tales pp, Offray ribbons, Deja Views and Making Memories rubons, and Bazill Wings flowers.

Yikes... snow!

I watched Seattle news last night after enjoying the reruns of Grey's Anatomy and they had a snowstorm! So... thinking that Seattle is only about a 2.5 hour drive from here, we should be getting snow too? I checked the Weather Network last night and it said nothing about snow, just lots of rain.

So boy, was I in for a bit of a surprise when I drew the blinds open this morning! There was about 3 inches of snow and it is still falling as I type. Hmph. It's time to lug out those winter snow boots again.

The Return Of

Happy New Year!

I went home to the Okanagan to visit my parents over the holidays and didn't expect such a white Christmas as it has been raining like crazy on the coast! I left on the 21st, and realized the other day how long I have been MIA from the blogging world. Oops, but here I am now. My holidays were rather quiet, how were yours?

Now that all my Christmas card have been sent out and recieved, I wanted to share some of them.
